Nina and Jason fulfilled their dream of a beach wedding, barefoot in the sand under the Portuguese sun, and combined it with a vacation with their family and friends in the Algarve. The Quinta Phonixnest near Burgau was both accommodation and wedding location for the bride and groom and the wedding guests. The bride and groom got ready here while the wedding preparations in the kitchen, garden and by the pool were already in full swing. At lunchtime, everyone drove to the nearby Praia Boca do Rio beach near Salema, where the wedding took place outdoors with a sea view and a light breeze. Even in August it was not too hot and only a few visitors sunbathed on the beach. Typical Portuguese cuisine, feasting under fig and olive trees, hanging out by the pool, wedding games and a long wedding table between palm trees... a Mediterranean wedding could hardly be more beautiful. Shortly before sunset, I drove with the bride and groom to the ruins of the Forte de São Luís de Almádena, which are romantically situated on the cliffs by the sea, to use the warm evening light for a few last beautiful bridal photos.
